Alfred Charles West
Alfred Charles West, 69, of Lewiston, MI, went to the fishing hole beyond on July 11, 2009. He was born on April 2, 1940 to Alfred and Bernice (Strelow) West in Roscommon, MI. What a time to be born, things were so different then. He married the former Carol Waisanen on June 24, 1961 in Roscommon, MI. He retired from GTE where he worked as a phone technician for more than 40 yrs. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping, especially trips to the Upper Peninsula. He was a Ccout aster for the Lewiston Boy Scouts and was a past president of the Lewiston Baseball Little League.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 48 yrs, Carol of Lewiston, MI; son, Alfred (Renita) West of Cheboygan, MI; daughter, Elizabeth West of Lewiston, MI; and grandchildren, Victoria and A.J. He was preceded in death by a son Andrew, and sister, Fay Fiedler.

Family graveside services for Mr. West were held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Albert Twp Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Green Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to Hospice of Michigan
