Earl Russell Rife Jr.
Earl Russell Rife,Jr., 83, of Lewiston, MI, passed away at Tendercare-Gaylord on Thursday, August 24, 2006 following an extended illness. He was born on July 26, 1923 in Highland Park, MI to Earl and Florence (Miller) Rife. He married the former Margaret Strong in 1946 in Highland Park. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Russ moved from Highland Park to Dearborn, MI in 1955 where he and his wife lived until retiring to Lewiston in 1980. Russ retired from General Motors. He was a member of the VFW Fun Country Post 6335 in Lewiston for 25 years.

Mr Rife is survived by his wife Peg, of Lewiston, MI; son Jay (Patty) Rife of Southgate, MI; daughters, Joan (John) Bryan of Livonia, Jane (Randy) McGuire of Chesterfeild, MO, June Trimble of Dewitt, MI, and Jill (Bill) Alderman of Livonia, mI; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and a sister Reta Hacquoil of Brantford, Ontario.
