George R. Raub Jr.
George R Raub Jr, 90, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at his residence. He was born on April 29, 1917 to George Sr and Helen (Covney) Raub in Toledo, OH. George served his country in the Army during WWI. He earned masters degrees in engineering. He married the former Shirley Gooseberry on May 1, 1943 in Sault Ste Marie, MI. He owned and operated Raub Painting Co for many years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Lewiston and Canton Lions Clubs, Detroit Masonic Lodge, Luzerne, MI and Bradner, OH American Legions, the Hugonauts, and Sons of the American Revolution. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He had a passion for writing.

George is survived by his wife, Shirley of Lewiston, MI; sons, George (Carol) of Rochester, MI, David (Bev) of Novi, MI, John of Westland, MI, William of Lewiston, MI, and Peter of Lapeer, MI; daughters, Nina Barrie of Green Bay, WI, and Sarah (Glenn) Waldman of Garden City, MI; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Daniel.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place.
