Howard C. Deeter
Howard Collins Deeter, 83, of Atlanta, MI, passed away at his residence on June 17, 2008. He was born on May 23, 1925 to Howard and Kathleen (Collins) Deeter in Yonkers, NY. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII, he participated in several B29 raids on Tokyo, his crew earned the distinguished flying cross for the raid of May 23, 1945 (his 20th birthday). He worked for Pontiac Motors for 31 years. He was a member of Blue Lake Club and has been a permanent resident there since 2005. He was an avid hunter and fisherman over the years. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and skiing. He loved to read and eat.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Kathie (Philip) Denomme of Atlanta, MI; sons, Howard (Diane) of White Lake, MI, Bob of Atlanta, MI, and John (AnnaMarie) of Vanderbilt, MI; step sons, Steve (Susy) Horn and Jeff (Jody) Horn, both of Charleston, IL, 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Don (Joan) of Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by two wives, Constance and Peggy.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Interment will take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Independence, MI.
