Wiliam Brennan
William Brennan, age 79, formerly of St Clair Shores,
MI, died on July 22, 2010 after a lengthy illness.
He was a graduate of the University of Detroit Jesuit
High School, where he excelled in sports and academics.
Upon graduation, he entered General Motors
Institute, earring an engineering degree. After graduation
from GMI, Bill went on to serve his country as an
officer in the United States Navy, stationed on the
aircraft carrier, USS Intrepid. Bill returned from duty,
starting his career at General Motors, overseeing
Technical Centers in various states.Bill retired from
GM at age 55, designed and built a home in Lewiston,
where family and friends were always welcomed by
Bill and his wife Marianne. A master craftsman and
generous man, Bill gave countless hours to many
charities.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marianne;
daughter Kathleen (Jeff) Glenny; grandchildren,
Grace and Charlie; brother of Martin, Gerald and
Patricia McCarthy. He was a loving uncle to many
nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, Ann and Martin
and brothers, Vincent, Joseph, Timothy and Michael.
A funeral mass was held at St. Francis Catholic
Church in Lewiston. Memorials are suggested to St.
Francis Church.
