Alexandra Louise Sims

Mrs. Alexandra “Alex” Louise Sims, 70 of Hillman, Michigan died suddenly on March 23, 2025 at her home. She was born in Flint, Michigan on November 18, 1954 to the late Marvin and Ann (Kraszewski) Gerbig. She has resided with her husband, David, in Hillman for the last 21 years. Alex was a past member of the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church. She loved animals of all kinds, whether it was a hummingbird or her dog, Furby or cat, Bailey. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and loved her flowers. She is and will be deeply missed.

Alex is remembered by her loving husband, David Sims; son, Harold (Jennifer) Pudvay, Kerry (Jeffery) Jefferson; grandchildren, Gavin, Gabrielle, Charles; great-grandchildren, Clayton and Paisley-Mae; siblings, Marsha Robinson, Annette Taylor, Marvin (Sue) Gerbig, and Jim Gerbig. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ann Gerbig; and sister, Helen.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Alex privately at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Elk Country Animal Shelter, 11484 Youngs Rd, Atlanta 49709.
