Alvina McTaggart Alvina McTaggart, 88 of Atlanta passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Kalkaska memorial Health Care Center following an extended illness. Alvina was born September 24, 1918 in Huron County, Michigan the daughter of Russell and Lydia Jane (Rowe) Danks. Alvina married Lee McTaggart October 6, 1940 in Atlanta where they have lived in the same house ever since. Alvina was and active member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, loved gardening, knitting, and crocheting. Alvina also loved babysitting and babysat many local children over the years. Alvina was preceded in death by her husband Lee, brothers Henry, Clayton, Theron and Richard Danks, and sisters Mildred Watson and Grace Ertman. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Kenneth) Bird of Kalkaska, grandson Duane (BobbiJo) Bird and granddaughters Taylor and Ashley Bird all of Kalkaska, MI and numerous nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Green Funeral Home Atlanta, Pastor Kim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Loud Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Thursday.
