She was a member of the Atlanta Congregational Church in which she remained very active over the years. She was past member of the Red Hatters and did volunteer work for charities including the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society. Bonnie was an avid reader and loved a good mystery novel. She was always sure to get in her exercise sometimes doing laps about the house with her walker. She was very up-to-date with the latest technology and enjoyed her headphones, Ipad, fitbit and texting with her grandchildren. Bonnie was an exceptional human being. She was a kind, empathetic and compassionate individual. Bonnie was tolerant and accepting of all people and their differences. She never assumed but always questioned. She loved to laugh and bake blueberry pie. Above everything, she adored her time with family and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Beulah Schad; husband, Raymond; brothers, Pete and Dale; and sister, Prudie Trimboli.

As were her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Bonnie privately at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to McLaren Hospice of Alpena or the Atlanta Congregational Church of Christ.
