Brenice Brown

Brenice Lorraine Brown Mrs. Brenice Lorraine Brown, 91 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on April 22, 2017 at Aspen Ridge in Gaylord. She was born to the late, Charles and Hilda (Johnson) Talley in Illinois on September 23, 1925. She married her husband, James Brown, on September 13, 1947 and together the couple celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. The couple moved to Lewiston in 1981, formerly of Warren. Brenice worked as a bookkeeper for Talley's & Orwick Drug Store. She also worked in real estate. Brenice also enjoyed knitting and sewing. Family was her number one priority and she cherished moments spent with them. She was the most loving and caring person you could ever find and it was shown in her love for family and friends. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by children, Susan Weber of Cheboygan; Nancy Brown of Pleasant Ridge; James (Lori) Brown of Charlevoix; grandchildren, Denise, Diane, Landon, Michael, Daniel; great-grandchildren, Emily, Lena, Robert, Cole, Landon, Brett, Chloe, and Brady; and great-great grandchild, Brayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hilda Talley; husband, James; son-in-law, Chalmers Weber; and sister, Norma Walter. Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at noon on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Green Funeral Home; Lewiston. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow services at Albert Township Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to Aspen Ridge and Hospice of Michigan in gratitude of the wonderful care provided to their family.
