Carol Anne Benson

Mrs. Carol Anne Benson, 72 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at MediLodge of Alpena on June 11, 2025. She was welcomed into Heaven with outstretched arms by her late husband, Norm Turner. Carol was born on July 7, 1952 to Eric and Anne (Donegan) Benson. She has resided in Atlanta since July of 2020. Carol was raised in Scotland and was very proud of her Scottish roots. She was a free spirit and enjoyed gardening, working with stained glass, painting, drawing, and crafting of any kind. She was known to her grandchildren as “Nana” and she loved spending time with them. She is and will be deeply missed.

Carol is remembered by her children, Mike (Dana) Graham, Dawn Graham, Christine (Kevin) Armock, Kevin (Ashlee) Belanger; grandchildren, Gage, Tristan, Ira, Skylar, Joe, Jen, Lizzie, Luke, and Dominic; siblings, Ann (Sandy) Barber, Eric Benson; and loving ex-husband, Greg Belanger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Anne Benson; late husband, Norm Turner; sister, Marie; and brother, Jim.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Carol privately at this time.
