Christine L. Girardin

August 24, 1964 — August 30, 2024

Christine L. (Nap) Girardin, age 60, of Atlanta passed away at home on Friday, August 30, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on August 24, 1964 at K.I. Sawyer Base in Marquette, Michigan to Genevieve (Bertucci) Nap and David Nap (Sharon Pemberton). She was a graduate of Westwood High School. She moved to Atlanta, Michigan in 2008 where she worked at Kohl's in Gaylord for many years, then as a manager at Freddie's Family Market until she was too ill to continue employment. Chris loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and SxS riding. She cherished time with her family and friends and enjoyed watching the activities her grandkids were involved in. She had a very vibrant and loud personality which was infectious to all around her. Chris lived each day to the fullest, knowing her days were numbered. "Chris G" is a legacy to all fortunate enough to have known her. Her strength and resilience were admirable right up to the end. She is and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Joanna Smail; son, Nicholas Olgren; bonus kids, Amber Girardin, Ryan (Taylor) Girardin, Jaymi Girardin; sisters, Catherine (Roy) King; Colleen (Rudy) Goupille; and a brother, Brian Nap; grandkids, Allyson Smail and Ella Olgren; Anthony, Alivia, Addison, Avery, Austin, Gambino and Brantley and Ryett Girardin.
