Clifford E. Peter Clifford E. Peter, 75, of Atlanta passed away Friday, June 30, 2006 at Northern Michigan Hospital, following an extended illness. Clifford was born February 25, 1931 in Crawford County, MI, the son of Gerald and Thelma (Middleton) Peter. He retired from General Motors in 1983 after 30 years of service. Cliff attended Big Rock Congregational Church in Atlanta. He and his wife, the former Eleanor Northrup, whom he married May 19, 1953 have made their home in Atlanta since 1990. Clifford also served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Clifford is survived by his wife Eleanor; son, Clifford (Becky) of Columbiaville, MI, and Charlie and Robert (Patti) both of Vanderbilt; daughters, Diane (Thomas) Getty of Columbiaville, Elizabeth (Jim) Pearson of Wallace, MI, Barbara (David) Hardaker of Clio, MI, and Robin (Kelly) Ross or Atlanta; 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Peter of Twainhart, CA; and sisters, Delores (Ed) Miller of Roscommon, MI, Mary Lou (Jerry) Gomer of Azusa, CA and Jean Lamoreuax of Davison, MI. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Big Rock Congregational Church with Pastor Ken McGarvey officiating.
