Darleen Christina Krebiehl Mrs. Darleen Christina Krebiehl, 81 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MediLodge of Hillman on October 12, 2015. She was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota on October 17, 1933 the daughter of Lloyd and Eleanor (McAllister) Ohngren. She has resided in Hillman since 1966. Darleen was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and worked as a ladies aide, and was also was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Hillman Red Hatters. She participated in 4H and also worked for Green Funeral Home at one time. She also wrote for the Montmorency County Tribune in the column titled "Hillman Happenings" for many years. Above everything she did, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by sons, Jay (Deborah) Krebiehl of Hillman; Kurt (Alissa Cookingham) Krebiehl of Hillman; grandchildren, Rebecca Krebiehl of West Branch; Amanda (John) Thornhill of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Marcus, Matthew, Mason, Kennedy, Dallas, and Faith; brothers, John (Marie) Ohngren of Dryden; Jim (Mary) Ohngren of Dryden; Rick (Joyce) Ohngren of Auburn Hills; sisters, Marilyn (Winford) Deaton of Auburn Hills; and Diane (Ronald) Pini of Auburn Hills. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Eleanor Ohngren; and husband, Von Krebiehl.
Funeral services for Mrs. Krebiehl will take place at 11:00AM on Friday, October 16, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church; Royston, Michigan; Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the church from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Friday from 10:00AM until time of service. Internment will follow at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery.
