Daryl Cohoon

Daryl Leroy Cohoon Mr. Daryl Leroy Cohoon, 61, of Hillman, MI, died on March 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born on February 14, 1954 to Russell and Doris (Kenyon) Cohoon in Pontiac, MI. He has lived in Hillman for the past 30 years and spent 20 years working at Wayne Wire here. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Alpena. Daryl loved to play cards, especially Texas Hold Em. He enjoyed motorcyles and used to love to bowhunt and shoot his bow. Above all else he enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Daryl is survived by his daughters, Anna Cohoon of Gaylord and Pearl Klein of Cheboygan, MI; son, Travis Cohoon of Hillman; grandchildren, Deacon, Dyanie, Kyron, Justice, Dezyrae, Norah, and Andrew, Ira, Hayley, Jimmy and Zachary; brothers, Earl (Dee) of Hillman, Albert (Lettie) of Lake City, FL, David (Judy) of Holly, MI, Roger (Lucy) of Clarkston, MI, Ron (Patti Jo) of Belleville, MI, and Russ (Patty) Cohoon of Hillman; sisters, Judy (Jim) Jidas of Clarkston, MI, Connie (Jim) Chenoweth of Hillman, MI, Sheila (Gary) LaFleche of Hillman, and Barbara Cohoon of Tecumseh, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Doris, and a sister, Anita. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at the Rust Township Hall.
