Dena Melanie Hogarth

Mrs. Dena Melanie Hogarth, 80 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully on December 12, 2024 at her home. She was born on October 30, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Vincent and Doris Stezicinski. She was welcomed into Heaven with outstretched arms by her late daughter, Dawne. Dena has resided in Hillman since the 1980’s and worked at Neiman’s Family Market in Alpena for the past 12 years. She was a devout Catholic. When Dena was younger, she used to enjoy hunting and fishing. She had a special place in her heart for the outdoors. She loved being in the woods and would often take her grandchildren out on adventures with her. She also enjoyed tending and maintaining her yard. Dena is and will be deeply missed.

She is remembered by her daughter, Debbie (Kaleb Edwards) Schalk; grandchildren, Christopher (Kristen) Richards, Kendra McMurphy, Travis Schalk, and Adam Schalk; great-grandson, Kamden Paz; brother, Vincent Stezeinski; and close friends, Marty Polakowski and Mark Rucinski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Doris Stezicinski; and daughter, Dawne Richards. 

A graveside service will take place for Dena at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery in the Spring.
