Donald Buchler

Mr. Donald Alfred Buchler, 82 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MediLodge of Hillman on October 22, 2019. He was born in Montmorency Township, Michigan on April 7, 1937 the son of the late, Alfred and Olga (Schlak) Buchler. Donald was born and raised in Hillman and graduated from Hillman High School in 1956. He retired from General Motors after 30 years where he worked at Buick Plant 36 in Flint. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Royston. Donald enjoyed socializing with friends, tractors and working around the farm, and hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his son, Cleon Buchler of Hillman; brothers, Ken (Carleen) Buchler of Flint; Ervin (Karen) Buchler of Alma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Olga Schlak; wife, Sharon; son, Steven; and brother, Robert.

Funeral services for Mr. Buchler will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Royston; Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
