Mr. Donald George Green, 91 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at home on April 8, 2019. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 1, 1928 to the late, George and Velma (Sanford) Green. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy as a weatherman.  Don founded Green Funeral Home in 1958 and served the families of Montmorency County for 25 years alongside his wife, Shirley, whom he married in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1970. The couple retired together in 1983. Don was a past member of the Atlanta Congregational Church of God and the Lewiston Curling Club. He was an avid golfer, an accomplished carver, and the first person in Montmorency County to hit a deer with a snowmobile. He enjoyed playing cards and trips to the casino. Don always wanted to be remembered as helping people in their time of need and he will be remembered fondly just for that.
