Donna Lea Serra

Mrs. Donna Lea Serra, 69 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on January 20, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 25, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to Billy and Jeanette (Fahrer) Warnos. She married her husband, Salvatore “Sam” Serra in 1978 and together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. Donna was a cherished member of her Lewiston Community and a devote member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She retired from Chrysler after 40 years as an account payable specialist. Donna could often be found with a smile amidst her face and in the company of friends. She enjoyed hosting dinner parties and meeting with friends at The Villager for lunch, as well as boating on West Twin Lake. She is and will be deeply missed.

 She is survived by her loving husband, Sam Serra of Lewiston; father, Billy Warnos; siblings, Cheryl Jones, Jean (Don) Truscott, Karen Manto, Lynn Warnos, Bruce (Ann) Warnos, Ronnie (Terri) Warnos, Richard (Peanut) Warnos, many nieces and nephews; and dog Stormy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette.

 Funeral services for Donna will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Al Pillarelli officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.  Interment will take place in the Spring at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery where Donna will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elk Country Animal Shelter, 11484 Youngs Rd, Atlanta, Michigan 49709.
