Doris Cohoon

Doris Elnor Cohoon Doris Elnor Cohoon, 92, of Hillman, Michigan passed away at Hillman Haven on September 23, 2014. She was born on February 10, 1922 to Douglas and Lorna (Roberts) Kenyon in Flint, Michigan. She married Russell Cohoon on November 5, 1939 in Rust Township. She returned to the Hillman area in 1974 formerly of Clarkston. Doris enjoyed crafts and was an avid quilter. Above all else, Doris loved her family more than anything. Doris is survived by her sons, Earl (Dee) of Hillman; Albert (Lettie) of Lake City, Florida; David (Judy) of Holly; Roger (Lucy) of Clarkston; Daryl of Hillman; Ron (PattiJo) Cocoon of Belleville; and Russ (Patty) of Hillman; daughters, Judy (Jim) Jidas of Clarkston; Connie (Jim) Chenoweth of Hillman; Sheila (Gary) LaFleche of Hillman; and Barbara Cohoon of Tecumseh; 27 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Edna) Kenyon of Atlanta; and sister, Laura Diamond of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; brother, Robert Kenyon Sr, and sisters, Roberta and Phyllis Cohoon. Funeral services for Mrs. Cohoon will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at New Beginnings Ministries; Hillman, Michigan; Pastor David Hill officiating. Visitation hours will take place on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery.
