Edward Ferris

Edward Guy Ferris Mr. Edward Guy Ferris, 76 of Spruce, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by family on April 20, 2018 at MediLodge of Hillman. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 14, 1941 to the late, George and Virginia (Newman) Ferris. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and did three tours during the Vietnam War. On December 19, 2008 he married his wife, Patti (Elston) in Alpena and together the couple celebrated nine years of marriage before his passing. Edward resided in Spruce for the last 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 274 of Oscoda, a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3735 of Oscoda, and a member of the Ossineke Eagles. Edward enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Patti Ferris of Spruce; daughter, Veronica (Jeffery) Eberhardt of Oscoda; sister, Pam Messenger of Prescott, Arizona; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Virginia Ferris. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of Edward's life at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Ossineke Eagles, 6848 US-23 Spruce.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patti Ferris of Spruce; daughter, Veronica (Jeffery) Eberhardt of Oscoda; sister, Pam Messenger of Prescott, Arizona; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Virginia Ferris.
