Edwin Krueger

Edwin Krueger Mr. Edwin Krueger, 92 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at The Brook of Houghton Lake Assisted Living on May 14, 2017. He was born on June 1, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to the late, Ernest and Cordelia (Renner) Krueger. He was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army where he earned a purple heart and a bronze star in France. In June of 1975 he married his wife, Eileen (Ager) Krueger and together the couple celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing. The couple has resided in Lewiston for 25+ years, formerly of Clawson. Edwin retired from RS Electronics in 1985 after 42 years. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lewiston and enjoyed fishing. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Krueger of Lewiston; daughters, Linda Kern of Whitmore Lake; Jeanette (Max) Marker of Byron Center; Gale (John) Zook of Royal Oak; Marie (Bob) Burlison of Clawson; sons, Clifford (Kathy) Barton of Comins; Keith Barton of Trout Lake; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Wesley) Kruse of Livonia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Cordelia, and a son, Terry Barton. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life on June 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lewiston, Michigan, Pastor Steven Thiel officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
