Elaine Smith

Elaine Agnes Smith Mrs. Elaine Agnes Smith, 81 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by family at her home on August 28, 2018. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 2, 1937 to Aloise and Magdaline (Augustine) Hering. Formerly of Warren, Elaine moved to Atlanta in 1992. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and being outdoors. Above everything she enjoyed her time spent with family and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Wendy) Smith Jr of Eagleville, Tennessee; Shannon Smith of Atlanta; grandchildren, Rachel, Brandon, and Kassandra; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Hering of Warren; and niece, Amy Hering of Royal Oak. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloise and Magdaline Hering; and husband, Robert Smith Sr. As were her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private family graveside service held for Mrs. Smith at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township at a later date.
