Eleanor Arnold

May 15, 1929 — October 30, 2018

Eleanor Maxine Arnold Mrs. Eleanor Maxine Arnold, 89 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on the early morning of October 30, 2018 at her home. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late, William and Lona (Herr) Boyd on May 15, 1929. She married her husband, Bob Arnold on August 30, 1948 and together the couple celebrated 49 years of marriage before Bob's passing on December 11, 1997. Eleanor resided in Atlanta at Canada Creek Ranch for over 30 years and became members on April 11, 1965. Formerly of Auburn Hills, Eleanor was a member of the Elks Lodge in both Pontiac and Waterford. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning by reading magazines. She like playing cards and enjoyed to attend craft shows and watch the news and westerns on T.V. She was a fan of Maxine Calendar Daily and was so much like her it was funny. Eleanor attended weekly outings to The Doll House and got her hair done and had dinner at the El-bo Inn with family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Robert (Chris) Arnold Jr of Atlanta; grandchildren, Shannon (James) Neal and Robert III; and great-grandchildren, James Jr. and Joseph. She loved her pets and leaves behind E.T, Ziggy, 8-Ball, and her newest rescue, Sheba, which made us laugh daily. She was preceded in death by her father, William Boyd, and mother, Lona Abbott; and husband, Robert. As were her wishes cremation has taken place and the family has chosen to remember Eleanor privately. She was laid to rest beside her husband, Bob on November 7, 2018 at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac. Donations can be made to the Elk Country Animal Shelter in Atlanta in Eleanor's memory. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home. Condolence messages can be sent via our website at www.greenfuneralhomes.com. Thank you all so very much to our family, friends, and Canada Creek Ranch members who have blessed us with prayers, cards, flowers, kind words, and especially donations to the Elk Country Animal Shelter. We are all so very grateful.
