Ella Love

Ella Ilene Love Mrs. Ella Ilene Love, 67, of Atlanta, Michigan, passed away on September 3, 2016 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. She was born on August 29, 1949 to Leon and Ida (Butler) Bortles in Trenton, MI. She has lived in Atlanta for the past 22 years, formerly of Milan, Michigan. She retired from Milan Area Schools as the Head Custodian in 1994 after 24 years of service. Once relocating to northern Michigan, she went back to work at Walmart in the Bakery for another 15 years, retiring a year ago. She was a member of the Atlanta Church of Christ. Ella loved to do anything outdoors, including gardening, fishing, camping, or working of the family pond. She also was an animal lover, she enjoyed her chickens, ducks, and of course her dogs. Above all else, family was always number one for her, she will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. Ella is survived by her husband, Joseph Love of Atlanta, MI; sons, Matthew Barnier of Belleville, MI, and Joseph (Hali) Love of Milan, MI; daughters, Jamie Tokarski of Ann Arbor, MI, Lisa Barnier and Kim (Scott) Gordon both of Whitmore Lake, MI, Kathy-Jo (Mike) Sampson of South Lyon, MI, and Angie Brooks of Milan, MI; 16 grandchildren; and brothers, Tom (Lynn) Adam of Milan, MI, and Duane Adam of Clinton, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Ida; and a sister, Kathy Eastman. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Mrs. Love will be held on September 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Atlanta Church of Christ, Pastor Jerry Robertson officiating.
