Elsie Frieda Weis Elsie Frieda Weis, 91 of Hillman passed away suddenly Monday, January 1, 2007 at her son's home in Ossineke. Elsie was born June 26, 1915 in Engadine, Michigan the daughter of Julius and Leontine (Fergin) Werner. She worked more than 20 years at Wayne Wire in Hillman prior to retirement. She was an active member of St John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society, she enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Thunder Bay Quilters. She and her husband Henry have made their home in Hillman for more than 43 years. Elsie is survived by son Gerald (Dorothy) Weis of Ossineke, daughter Delores of Hillman, 2 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and sister in law Faith Werner of South Carolina Funeral services will be held at 6:00PM Thursday from St John's Lutheran Church, Pastor Jason Mandley officiating. Burial will be in St John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4:30 until the time of services on Thursday. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Green Funeral Home Hillman. Memorials are suggested to the Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
