Mr. Gary D. Gamble passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023, at McLaren Bay Region with his family by his side at the age of 80. The son of Elmer Norwood and Ada (Roher) Gamble was born on May 17, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Gary married Phyllis (Rochford) Gamble on February 15, 1963 and together the couple celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing. Together they raised their family in Royal Oak, Michigan. Gary retired from Chrysler Corporation after 34 years of dedicated service. Upon retirement, the couple split their time between Zephyrhills, Florida and Lewiston, Michigan. They relocated to Bay City two years ago to be close to family members. Gary was a member of the NRA, The Bridgeport Gun Club, Dade County Rod and Gun Club where he served as range officer, the Moose Club, Eagles, and Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston. Gary enjoyed restoring cars and tinkering in his garage. He cherished his time spent with his family and will be deeply missed.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis Gamble; children, Judy (Steve) Nichols, Pamela (David) Simon, Tracy Bennett, and Daniel (Amy) Gamble; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jonathan) Sobieski, Jennifer (Ricky) Seremak, Aaron (Katilyn) Nichols, Jessica (Ethan) West, Warren Gamble, Julia Bennett, Brandon Simon, and Elizabeth (Ryan Kosinski) Simon; great-grandchildren, Colton Seremak, Bryson Seremak, Alanna Seremak, Lukas Sobieski, Jaxon Sobieski, Xander Sobieski, Scotty Gamble, and Macy Nichols. His best little buddy “Chase” will miss his daily runs with his daddy. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ada Gamble; and brother, James Gamble.

A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Al Pillarelli officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service with a luncheon following. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Gary to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Association, PO Box 91891, Washington, D.C. 20090-1891.
