Genevie Klotz

Genevie Althea Klotz Mrs. Genevie Althea Klotz, 97, of Hillman, MI passed away at Medilodge on March 11, 2014. She was born on May 1, 1916 in Lansing, MI. She married Roy Laverne Klotz on January 27, 1932 in Lansing, MI. She has lived in Hillman for the past 30+ years formerly of Grand Marais, MI. She owned and operated Arbutus Lake Resort in Kingsley, MI for many years. She was an avid reader, especially enjoying romance novels, and liked bird watching. She attended the Hillman United Methodist Church. Genevie loved to cook and bake, and will be missed by all that loved her. Genevie is survived by her sons, Roy (Shirley) Klotz of Hillman, MI, and Bruce (Geneva) Klotz of Ressaca, GA; daughter, Judy Meewenberg of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Hartigan of Lansing, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, granddaughter, Kim Klotz; and great great granddaughter, Amy Cordes. Funeral services for Mrs. Klotz will be held on Friday at 5:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, Pastor Jack Johnston officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Friday from 1:00 PM until time of service.
