Glenn Ball

September 3, 1924 — February 8, 2016

Glenn Alfred Ball Mr. Glenn Alfred Ball, 91 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on February 8, 2016 at the Grayling Nursing and Rehab Community Center. He was born to the late, Raymond and Lillian (Pennecott) Ball in London, Ontario on September 3, 1924. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during World War II aboard the USS Ardent and USS Skirmish in the South Pacific, and was involved in the attack on Hiroshima. He married his wife, Rita on August 27, 1959 in Centerline, Michigan and the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage before Rita's passing in 2011. Glenn moved to Lewiston in 1971, formerly of Utica. He worked as a letter carrier for nine years and owned and operated "The Wander Inn" restaurant in Lewiston for a few years. He also worked at what was known as Lewiston Luster and was known as "The Hamburgler" there. He liked woodworking and enjoyed being involved in the Utica Sportsman's Club where he was a member for many years and active in archery. Above everything he did, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Dave) Abair of Lewiston; Christine (Brad) Larson of West Bend, Wisconsin; Michele Barry of West Bend, Wisconsin; stepchildren, Marsha Andrews of East China, Michigan; Tony (Beth) Andrews of Arizona; Marc (Sue) Andrews of Nevada; numerous grandchildren; and his two cats, Baby and Flower. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lillian Ball; wife, Rita; brother, David Ball; and sister, Mabel. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there are currently no services planned for Mr. Ball at this time.

As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there are currently no services planned for Mr. Ball at this time.
