Gordon Lee Holly Gordon Lee Holly, 69 of Roscommon, MI passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Grayling Mercy Hospital. Gordon was born Oct 12, 1937 in West Branch the son of Lawrence and Erma (McCoy) Holly. He was an award winning insurance salesman, three years in a row he was awarded the Double Diamond Award as the top salesman in the country for Combined Insurance Company, and later retired from the AFLAC Insurance Co. Gordon was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and invented and patented the "Holly Hot Sock" which is a self contained body sock to keep outdoorsman warm. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patsy Heppner and brother Jack Holly. He is survived by his daughter Tina (Rick) Johnson of Hillman, grand children Scott (Miranda), Denise, Justin and Jaron, great grandchildren Trinity and Taylor, and his brother Lawrence "Ed" (Barbara) Holly of Kingsley, MI Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM from the Hillman United Methodist Church, Pastor Karen Mars officiating. Burial will be in Hillman Rust Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home Hillman from 4-8 PM Sunday.
