Helen Caroline Fleming Helen Caroline Fleming, 93, of Hillman, Michigan, died at Alpena Regional Medical Center on January 4, 2016. She was born on July 19, 1922 to Michael and Caroline (Milon) Zuk in Wyandotte, Michigan. She married Thomas Fleming on February 9, 1952 in Wyandotte. Carol has lived on Ess Lake in Hillman since 1980, having vacationed there since 1969. She was a member of St Augustine Catholic Church. During WWII she was a "Rosie the Riveter" working at home for the war efforts overseas. She used to enjoy to quilt. Carol loved word games, her favorite was Scrabble. Above all else, she loved her time spent with her family. Carol is survived by her sons, Terrence (Bonnie) of Armada, MI, Tim of Grand Rapids, MI, and Thomas of Altamonte Springs, FL; daughters, Diane (Gary) Stone of San Diego, CA, Judith Barry of Kenneth City, FL, Mary Anne (Larry) Ball of Clearwater, FL, and Nancy Lee of Hillman, MI; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and a son, Tony. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St Augustine Catholic Church, Hillman, MI, Father Michael Conner officiating. Interment will take place in the Spring at St Augustine Catholic Cemetery.
