Herbert Burnaby Armon Mr. Herbert Burnaby Armon, 85, of Hillman, MI, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was born on September 2, 1928 in Detroit, MI. Herb retired from Chrysler Motor Company in 1987 after 21 years of service as a sheet metal specialist. He attended the Hillman United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Montmorency Conservation Club, member of the Hillman Senior Center where he spent three years as president, and a past member of the Atlanta Eagles. He was the founder of Citizens Aid Radio Emergency Services, CARES, in Warren, MI, to help with the Detroit riots in the late 1960's. He was also involved with the Montmorency County Commission on Aging. Herbert is survived by his son, Keith (Vivian) Armon of Hillman, MI; and daughters, Nancy and Pamela Armon of Chesterfield, MI, and Cheryl Banks of Hillman, MI; grandchildren, Mary, Verlin, Alan, Ann, Stephanie, Amy, Micheal, Melissa, Ralph, Christopher, and Sarah; and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, and daughter, Janet Hall. Funeral services for Mr. Armon will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Hillman United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, 11:00AM until time of service at the church.
