James Briggs

Mr. James Briggs, 66 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at his home on July 12, 2021. He was born on January 1, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan to Robert and Sally (Eaton) Briggs. Formerly of Grand Ledge, he has resided in Atlanta since 2009. He was a member of the Atlanta Eagles. James was an outdoorsman and loved woodworking, fishing, and hunting. He will be deeply missed.

James is survived by his wife, Karen Briggs of Atlanta; children, Jeremy (Gigi) Elliott of Phoenix, Arizona; Jamie (Steven) Ordiway of Grand Ledge; Brandon (Danielle) Elliott of St. Antonio, Texas; Garrett (Caroline) Briggs of Virginia; grandchildren, Levi, Cooper, Carter, McKenzie, Katelyn, Austin, and Wesley; sister, Joni (Ken) Fuller of Grand Ledge; brother, Mark Briggs of Lansing; father, Robert Graydon Briggs; and numerous aunts and uncles.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of his life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Atlanta Eagles. A luncheon will follow services.
