Jeffery Dean Dove

Mr. Jeffery “Jeff” Dean Dove, 74 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at McLaren Northern Regional Hospital in Petoskey on July 27, 2025. He was born in Flint, Michigan to the late Milton and Donna (Christer) Dove on February 12, 1951. Jeff has resided in Lewiston for the last 28 years. He loved both acting and theater. Jeff performed as a mime, danced ballet for 20 years, and worked on stage productions in the movie Desert Bloom. He spent a month in Greece working on the show, Congress of Woman and for 20 years he taught educational enrichment programs to children throughout the United States. After retirement, Jeff continued his love for teaching and was employed at Gaylord High School as a substitute teacher. When not working, Jeff loved to be around people and to help others when he could. He had a love for animals and enjoyed caring for his pets. He also participated in a pool league and liked doing yardwork. More importantly, Jeff adored his family. He is and will be deeply missed.

Jeff is remembered by his loving husband of 35 years, Michael Carrell; sisters, Marcia Dove, Karrie Drendall, and Susan (James) Trent; nieces, Tracie, Heather, Candace, Ary, Ena; nephews, Grant, David Lee Allen (Laura) Walton, Zack, Seth, Ray; grandnephew, Matthew; brothers-in-law, Steven Carrell, Brad Roper, Liam Brine; sisters-in-law, Gina (David) Bennett, and Trina Carrell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Donna Dove; sister, Linda; brother, Jack; and grandnephew, Christopher.

There will be a visitation service held for Jeff on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston.
