Jessica Elaine Peyton

Mrs. Jessica Elaine Peyton, 39 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on June 29, 2024 at McLaren Bay Region of West Branch. She was born in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada on July 12, 1984 to Brendan and Mona (Musgrave) Hawley. She celebrated 10 years of marriage with her husband, Sam Peyton. She was a loving mother to their daughter, Braelyn, who was her greatest joy. Jessica graduated from Fort Plain High School in 2002 and went on to pursue her bachelor’s degree in elementary education, graduating in 2008. She was a member of North Life Church in Gaylord and worked as a teacher’s aide for Johannesburg-Lewiston Elementary School. She loved camping, boating on West Twin Lake, puzzles, ancestry, and her dog, Tank. Jessica was kind and compassionate and she deeply loved her family, her school kids, and her tribe. She will be greatly missed. 

 She is survived by her husband, Sam Peyton; daughter, Braelyn Peyton both of Lewiston; mother, Mona Whitehouse of Fort Plain, New York; father, Brendan Hawley of Newmarket Ontario, Canada; sister, Erin Firman of Gaylord; brothers, Darin (Tiffany) Whitehouse of Johnstown, New York; Derik Whitehouse of Springfield, Virginia; Ryan Whitehouse of Amsterdam, New York; Kyle (Brittany) Whitehouse of Clarksville, Tennessee; mother-in-law, Christine Peyton of Lewiston; and nieces and nephews Mark, Kadin, Conner, Kylie, Logan, Natalie, Jace and Addison. She was preceded in death by her (step)dad, David Whitehouse; father-in-law, Bill Peyton; maternal grandparents, Glenn (Cora) Musgrave; paternal grandparents, John (Susan) Hawley; brother-in-law, Daniel Firman, and is reunited with her two angel babies. 

 There will be a memorial service held in celebration of Jessica’s life at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service.
