Mrs. Joan (Ottowitz) LoVetere, 84 died peacefully at her McCormick Lake, Atlanta, Michigan home on Tuesday, December 28, 2020. She graduated from Saint Joseph's Academy High School in 1956 and in 1958 from the Forsyth School for dental hygienists. Joan was a kind, compassionate and loving spouse, mother, and friend to all. She was always active with her children and grandchildren, as well as the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston and the Atlanta Thunder Bay Quilters where she served as past president.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Arthur J. LoVetere Sr; and her five children, Jenifer, Arthur Jay (Phyllis) LoVetere Jr; Gwen, Caroline (David) Stephany, Jeffrey (Beth), as well as 12 grandchildren, Ruby and Jules Costello, Arthur Johnny (Michelle) LoVetere III, James LoVetere, Emil Marz, Alexander, Mia and Adam Stefanelli, Shawn, Brayden, Ryan and Ethan LoVetere; and her twin brother, Peter J. (Connie) Ottowitz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Ottowitz.
Funeral services for Mrs. LoVetere will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Al Pillarelli and Fr. Joe Graff officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service. Joan will be laid to rest at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery, Hillman in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Sharing of Lewiston.
