John Lapointe

John Charles LaPointe Mr. John Charles LaPointe, 61 of Gaylord, Michigan died peacefully at Otsego Memorial Hospital on March 19, 2017. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 2, 1955. He has resided in Gaylord for the last four years. He spent most of his life traveling and grew up in Taylor. John worked as a welder and truck driver and enjoyed being outdoors golfing and hunting. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his brother, Bill (Mary Jo) LaPointe of Johannesburg; sister, Dorothy (Phillip) Smith of Johannesburg; daughters, Rachelle and Jeanie; three grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hector and Iris LaPointe. As were his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at a later date.
