John Webb

John Samuel Webb Mr. John Samuel Webb, 83 of Atlanta, Michigan died suddenly on March 17, 2016 at his home. He was born to the late, Morton and Madeline (Kinder) Webb in Marion, Ohio on October 26, 1932. He was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Having property in Atlanta since 1968, John permanently moved to Atlanta in 1974. He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic from the City of Dearborn retiring 15 years early. He was a member of various organizations including; the Masonic Lodge #516; American Legion Post #201, VFW Post #9489; Hillman Sportsman's Club, the Northern Michigan Pistol League, and a lifetime member of the NRA. John loved to shoot guns and was also active in 4H over the years teaching safe shooting to children, as well as conservation. He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed the outdoors; boating, hunting, and fishing. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Webb of Atlanta; sons, Doug Webb of Atlanta; John (Lynn) Webb of Livonia; daughter, Sharon Webb of Onsted; grandchildren, Jennifer, Crystal, Jackie, and Nick; great-grandchildren, Amilia and Jacob; brother, Fred (Pat) Webb of Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morton and Madeline Webb; and brothers, Herman and Gene. Funeral services for Mr. Webb will take place at 1:00PM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a masonic service at 7pm.
