Johnnie Lee Penrod Mr. Johnnie Lee Penrod, 72 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on April 16, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. He was born on September 24, 1943in Eldorado, Illinois. He moved to Lewiston 35 years ago, formerly of Waterford and married his wife, Joan (Manier) Penrod on October 3, 1992. Together the couple celebrated 23 years of marriage before his passing.Johnnie was a member of the Lewiston Congregational United Church of Christand owned and operated Fun Country Decks, Etc. in Lewiston where he was very talented in woodworking; building decks, remodeling, and garages. Over the years he sold real estate and owned a plumbing shop as well. He had a passion for classic cars and restored both a TransAm and a Corvette of which he loved, on top of fixing his daughter's cars as well. Johnnie enjoyed helping people, but above all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Penrod of Lewiston; daughters, Stacey (James) Blair of Oxford; Heidi (Renee) Penrod-LaRose of Howell; Triscia (Jay) Kipina of Lewiston; Dori (Naylo) Hopkins of Canton; grandchildren, Haydn Paffi; Jarod Nelson; and Hannah Kipina; great-grandchildren, Alice and Patricia Nelson; brothers, Gene Penrod of Flint; Larry (Donna) Penrod of Zephyrihills, Florida; sister, Peggy Brissette of Waterford; numerous nieces and nephews; and cat, Punkin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mary McMaster. Funeral services for Mr. Penrod will take place at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Congregational United Church of Christ; Lewiston; Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service with interment following at Albert Township Cemetery.
