Joseph Whitehead

Joseph Karl Whitehead Mr. Joseph Karl Whitehead, 75 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 24, 2018. He was born in Houghton Lake, Michigan on June 11, 1942 to the late, Cecil and Althea (Tippet) Whitehead. He married his wife, Joyce (Pickard) Whitehead in Millington, Michigan on July 28, 1962 and together the couple celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing. The couple moved from Millington in 1990 to Hillman. Joseph worked for Conway Trucking as a driver for 30+ years and retired in 2004. He was a member of New Beginnings Ministries and enjoyed to fish and hunt. He was always working on something, whether it was building pole barns or fixing and selling things. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Whitehead of Hillman; sons, Karl Joseph (Velma) Whitehead; Wayne (Shelley) Whitehead both of Millington; grandchildren, Aleisha, Jenny, Joey, and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Tripp and Chandler; sisters, Linda Hunt; and Georgeann (Don) Sears both of Falmouth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Althea Whitehead. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at New Beginnings Ministries; Pastor Larry Kirby officiating.
