Joyce Marie Whitehead

Mrs. Joyce Marie Whitehead, 79 of Hillman, Michigan, formerly of Millington, died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 23, 2024. She was born in Flint, Michigan on July 15, 1944 to the late Robert and Esther (Peterson) Pickard. She has resided in Hillman for the last 30+ years. Joyce was a member of New Beginnings Ministries. She loved knitting, gardening, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is and will be deeply missed.

 Joyce is survived by her sons, Karl (Velma) Whitehead, Wayne (Shelley) Whitehead both of Millington; grandchildren, Aleisha, Nicole, Joe, Jenny; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Chandler, River, Oakley, and Cora; siblings, Dick (Carolyn) Pickard of Millington; Jerry (Betty) Parks of Flint; Jane (Frank) Collins of Florida; Pat (Neil) Everson of Bay City; and Jim Pickard of West Branch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Esther Pickard; husband, Joe Whitehead; brothers, Clinton and Bob Pickard; and sister, Clara Pickard. 

 In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Joyce privately at this time.
