Karen Sue Sheldon

Karen Sue Sheldon, 66 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord on December 7, 2025. She was born in Independence, Missouri to the late Leonard and Betty (Harkness) Jones on August 4, 1959. Formerly of Westland, she has resided in Lewiston for the last five years. Karen celebrated 46 years of marriage with her husband, Tom, before her passing. Living on Little Wolf Lake, Karen enjoyed the peace that the water brought and could often be found simply just sitting and staring out into the lake and watching the birds. She enjoyed playing scrabble, and both cooking and baking. She will be deeply missed.

Karen is remembered by her loving husband, Tom Sheldon; sons, Ryan (April) Sheldon, Jonathan Sheldon, Michael (Caitlin) Sheldon; grandchildren, Zackary, Marilynn, Brenden, Dylan, Adriana, Micah, Rylee; siblings, Leonard (Margie) Jones, Nancy Caswell, Janet Shadowen, Steven Jones, Joseph Jones, David Jones, Beverly Gaurino; numerous nieces and nephews; and her childhood friend, Betsy Boesch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Betty Jones.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at a later date.
