Karl Ray Polenz

Mr. Karl Ray Polenz of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at the age of 82 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord on December 31, 2023. He was born to the late Carl and Mildred (Boltz) Polenz in Wayne, Michigan on March 14, 1941. He has resided in Lewiston most all his life, except for the two years he resided in Florida. Karl was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a past member of the Lewiston Moose and the Lewiston Fun Ones. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in the tomatoes and pumpkins he would grow. He liked hunting, fishing, trips to the casino, and time out on his boat on West Twin Lake. More importantly, he loved checking in on his granddaughters and spending time with them. Karl is and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his son, Mark Polenz of Harrison Township; granddaughters, Chelsea (Jason) Fellwock of Brighton; Jackie Polenz of Dallas, Texas; great-grandson, Henry; and brother, James (Cheryl) Polenz of Gregory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mildred Polenz; brother, Earl; and son, Barry.

Funeral services for Karl will take place at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pastor Chuck Hoffman officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service with a luncheon following.
