Keith Tibbits

Keith Alan Tibbits Mr. Keith Alan Tibbits, 84 of Lewiston, Michigan, died peacefully at Greenville Adult Foster Care Home in Atlanta on July 26, 2016. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan to the late, Wilbur and Eleta (Hayner) Tibbits on April 10, 1932. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Keith married his wife, Jean (Kulow) Tibbits in Saginaw on July 27, 1951 and together the couple celebrated 64 years of marriage before his passing. The couple moved to Lewiston in the fall of 1978, formerly of Saginaw where Keith worked at Saginaw News. He started in printing and then moved on to become district manager retiring after 20+ years. He was a member of Canada Creek Ranch and the American Legion Post 198 in Lewiston. Keith enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt and fish, including bear hunting in the Upper Peninsula and elk hunting in northern Michigan. He liked card games, especially euchre and pinnacle. Above everything, he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Tibbits of Lewiston; sons, Keith (Michelle) Tibbits Jr of Euless, Texas and Jeffrey (Christine) Tibbits of Traverse City; grandchildren, Ashley and AJ; and great-granddaughter, Haden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Eleta Tibbits; brother, Norman; and sister, Artist Sanford. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Tibbits at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
