Kenneth Wayne Turner Kenneth Wayne Turner, 67, of Gaylord, Thursday, June 29, 2006 at McReynolds Hall in Gaylord. He was born June 15, 1929 to Kenneth and Durie (Smith) Turner in Tankannock, PA. He married the former Lucille Kain, February 6, 1965 in Saginaw, MI. Ken retired from the US Air Force in 1979 with 22 years of service. He went on to work in sales for Bostwick Hardware Company for another 20 years. Formerly of Saginaw, he has lived in Gaylord since 1982. He was a member of Peace Luthern Church in Gaylord and was a scoutmaster for 20 plus years with Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, and liked to make homemade ice cream. Above all else, Ken loved his family, his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Mr Turner is survived by his wife, Lucille of Gaylord; sons, Michael (Juanita) Turner of Bloomington, IL and Kerry (Wendy) Turner of Savannah, GA; and grandchildren, Justin, Hunter and Paige, with one more on the way. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering was held July 1 at Peace Luthern Church, Gaylord.
