Linda Hernandez

Linda Hernandez Mrs. Linda Hernandez, 76 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at MidMichigan Medical Center in Alpena on October 26, 2018. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan on October 6, 1942 to the late, Alfred and Bella (Cutt) Smith. In Dearborn on May 18, 1963 she married her husband, Fidel Hernandez and together the couple celebrated 55 years of marriage before Linda's passing. Formerly of Livonia, she worked for Witch Craft and managed the craft store for over 20 years. She also worked for Ford Motor Company as a secretary for 10 years. Having visited Atlanta since 1972, she moved here permanently in 2000. Linda was a member of the Atlanta Eagles Post 4077 and the Lewiston Fun Ones. She attended both the Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 198 in Lewiston with her husband. As a person that loved the outdoors, she enjoyed boating, rides on the pontoon boat with the kids, snowmobiling, golfing, four-wheeling, and camping. She also liked to play shuffleboard, pool, and darts. Aside from Linda's work and hobbies her family and friends were very important to her, and she cherished her time spent with them. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Fidel "Babe" Hernandez of Atlanta; sons, Rick Hernandez of Plymouth; Dan (Karen) Hernandez of Canton; daughter, Brenda Hernandez of Warren; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchild with one of the way; and sister, Pat Mifsud of Summerfield, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Bella Smith; brother, Bill Smith; and sister, Clara Stocker. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of Linda's life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Dearborn Heights Moose Lodge, 27225 Warren Rd, Dearborn Heights. Another memorial will also take place for Linda from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Atlanta Eagles Post 4077, 10980 M-32, Atlanta.
