Marcella Menendez

Marcella Alvina Menendez Mrs. Marcella Alvina Menendez, 95 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at Tendercare of Clare on April 23, 2015. She was born on October 31, 1919 in Warren, Michigan the daughter of Edward and Laura (Kolb) Masch. She married husband, Frank Menendez on August 31, 1939 and together they celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing in 1986. Marcella lived in Lewiston for the past 40 years, formerly of Warren. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, and a past member of the Moose. She enjoyed playing Euchre with her husband, crocheting, quilting, and reading westerns. Above everything she enjoyed her time spent with family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by daughter, Donna (Fred) Alessandri of Harrison; grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Leighton of Berkley; Gina Alessandri of Leslie; Steve (Lori Randolph) Alessandri of Shelby Township; great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Joseph) Simler of Hazel Park; Bryan (Stephanie) Inman of Troy; Greg Davis, Annie Davis, and Troy Davis all of Leslie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Laura Masch; husband, Frank; infant twins Frank and Sally; and sister, Geraldine Smith. Funeral services for Mrs. Menendez will take place at noon on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church; Lewiston, Michigan; Pastor Steven Thiel officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00AM until time of service.
