Marie Anne Sargol, affectionately known as Rose to her family and close friends, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the age of 88.

Rose was born on March 14, 1938 in New Brunswick, Canada to Romeo and Anna(Duke) Gallant. She was married to Ralph Sargol for 35 years at the time of his passing in 1991. Rose worked as a bus driver for many years for Warren Consolidated Schools, retiring in 1998. She was passionate about her job and loved the kids on her routes.

Rose moved to Lewiston after she retired and spent her time enjoying her home on the lake and her pontoon boat. She enjoyed socializing with the neighbors, playing cards, throwing darts, playing Words with Friends and solitaire on her iPad and watching Judge Judy. Above everything, Rose loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. 

Rose is survived by her children, Stan (Joan) Sargol, Tim Sargol (deceased) and Susan (Timothy) White; grandchildren, Stacey (Randy), Steven (Meredith) and Sarah (Stephen); great-grandchildren, Bonnie, Owen, Henry, Madeline, Carson,Hailey and Maximus. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph and son Tim; siblings, Daniel, Jean-Marie and Valier; and her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at Green Funeral Home in Lewiston, Michigan from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with prayer service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday,October 23, 2026. Internment will immediately follow, where Rose will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery, Lewiston,Michigan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Marie "Rose" Sargol to The Susan G. Komen Charity.
