Marilee Ann Patson, 76, of Lewiston, Michigan took her final trip around the sun on April 11, 2026 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. She was born in Sterling Heights, Michigan on May 14, 1949 to the late Richard and Arline (Levesque) Hein. On June 25, 1977 she married John Patson and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage before her passing. Marilee was a member of the American Legion Post 198 where she also volunteered as a bartender for the last 10 years. Together with John, she enjoyed fishing, hunting, canoe trips, and curling. She participated in local pool leagues and enjoyed reading, gardening, painting, and playing BINGO at Events at Six One Two with her daughter, Phyllis. She was also a lifesaving swimmer. Marilee most enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Marilee is remembered by her loving husband, John Patson; daughters, Phyllis (Pete) Hoogerhyde, Jessica Patson; grandchildren, John, Daryn, Chris, Gary, Alexis; great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Sutton, Lily, and Aurora; brothers, Richard (Monica) Hein, and Phyllis (Denny) Rinke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Arline Hein; and brother, Mark.
Funeral services for Marilee will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston. Visitation will take place from noon until time of service with a luncheon following at the American Legion Post 198. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Cowell Children’s Cancer Institute, Traverse City. Interment will take place at Albert Township Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
