Marilyn Askelin

Marilyn Kay Askelin Mrs. Marilyn Kay Askelin, 67 of Fairbanks, Alaska died suddenly on January 9, 2018. She was born on September 17, 1950 in Grayling, Michigan to the late, Stewart Franklin and Donna Irene (DeFord) Edwards. She graduated from Atlanta High School in 1968 and served her country proudly in the United States Army. Marilyn worked for the Princess Cruise Line, and also the Denali State Park. She also worked as a florist. When not working, Marilyn enjoyed arts and crafts and time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Askelin of Fairbanks, Alaska; sisters, Beverly Edwards, Gloria (Steve) Englehart, and Patti Edwards all of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stewart and Donna Edwards; and a brother. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mrs. Askelin at this time.

As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mrs. Askelin at this time.
