Mary Skinner

Mary Anita Skinner Mrs. Mary Anita Skinner, 83 of Johannesburg, Michigan passed away at Otsego Memorial Hospital on April 25, 2014. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 21, 1931 to the late, Stanley and Lena (Vinneau) Chamberlain. She married husband, Ross Skinner in Denver, Colorado on February 26, 1952 and together they celebrated 62 years of marriage before her passing. The couple moved to Lewiston 14 years ago, formerly of Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Mary was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She spent some time traveling with her husband and enjoyed to play cards, especially pinochle. She was a tremendous mother and wife and loved being home taking care of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by loving husband, Ross Skinner of Johannesburg; sons, Ross (Pam) Skinner Jr of Olympia, Washington; Jeff Skinner of Tacoma, Washington; Tom (Beverly) Skinner of Flower Mound, Texas; daughters, Linda Carter of Johannesburg; Pamela (John) Roper of West Haven, Connecticut; nine grandchildren; sisters, Pat Barker of Royal Oak; Kaye Quantrelle of Hazel Park; and Barbara (Ken) Massie of Troy. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sally Geissler; Betty Aubuchon; and brothers, Martin; Ben; and Harold Chamberlain. A memorial mass will be held for Mrs. Skinner at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church; Lewiston, Michigan; Fr. Elias Chinzara officiating.
She is survived by loving husband, Ross Skinner of Johannesburg; sons, Ross (Pam) Skinner Jr of Olympia, Washington; Jeff Skinner of Tacoma, Washington; Tom (Beverly) Skinner of Flower Mound, Texas; daughters, Linda Carter of Johannesburg; Pamela (John) Roper of West Haven, Connecticut; nine grandchildren; sisters, Pat Barker of Royal Oak; Kaye Quantrelle of Hazel Park; and Barbara (Ken) Massie of Troy.
